I started off with the lite app, but got addicted so when I finished I had to get full. I love this app. Very strategic app.

I just love them game in general, but by the fact that to play certain apps, you have to pay and I dont want to.

I was in search of a war strategy game and stumbled upon this gem. Im a big Advance Wars fan and was pleased to find this game was inspired by the series. I havent played the other games in the Great Little War franchise, but I may be keen to after this. The game can be challenging sometimes even on normal mode where you really need to put your brain to work. Having to work around the fog of war took some time to get used to but is no obstacle once you properly learn to use scout units. All the units in general seem very useful in some way and balanced for the most part. One complaint I have is not having enough stars to level all your units fully. Along with this, you always get three stars whenever you complete a level no matter what. I wish it rewarded you with more stars based on how well you performed in combat. All in all, solid game. Would definitely recommend to strategy enthusiasts!

I own all the maps, but for naval warfare, there should be an update for an aircraft carrier(transport and fly/land choppers on it) and submarines(dive under water and take ships out/launch missiles too) and destroyers should be able to drop depth charges(on the submarines)...just although(WOULD BE AWESOME IF HAPPENED) and many be able to customize your own maps(make your own)...maybe at least add a battleship

Awesome game

This is a great game. Lots of fun. One battle after another and you can upgrade your troops. I like this version even more than the first one.

ONE OF MY FAVORITE GAMES BUT WE NEED MORE MAPS ASAP IM TIRE OF PLAYING OVER AND OVER

Slow turns, fast forward is just as slow, and the bad guys just show up in the middle of you and blow everything up while your guys have to follow green circles. Waste of a download.

Before I go into my save file loss, Im going to review the game without that problem. This is really a great game. I almost never pay for apps, and that usually means I go and play a game for 2 minutes and then I have to stop because my energy needs to be restored or I have to wait for something or another. With this game, I will play constantly only stopping when I actually want to. I actually got this game for free with AppsGoneFree, but I would easily pay at least .99 for this great game. the visuals are pretty good, great animations but the actual character models and terrain arent very high quality, but its a large 3D game so Im not going to take my review score down for that. I really love its just so fun and satisfying when you can take down an enemy in one hit. Game: 5 Stars. Now for my save file problem: Ill be far ahead on a mission, and when I have to leave, Ill make sure nothing will happen by saving multiple times onto the save file, and when I go to play that save file, it loads like two missions back!

Wow. This game was a lot better than I thought. I was expecting lag and it to crash and get Stale real Quick. But no. I recommend it to anyone that likes strategy games. But it has to be pretty tedious could you some more units. #4 New infantry unit (maybe a flamethrower unit or a Radio operator that can call in an air strike) #3 a aircraft carrier #2 planes (if you havent guess already) #1 the Ability to make custom maps

First time through, the game was challenging and fun. Not overly complex but the AI can be clever enough to keep you guessing. After the first time, I bumped the difficulty level and replayed the same levels. A very fun second run through is underway now. Well worth it. Probably one of the best games Ive played on an iPad in years.

This game is wonderful, but as a war history nerd, I want some things. I want jeeps with mounted machine guns and towable artillery pieces. Otherwise amazing.

This is for you rubicon I love this game its almost perfect I have a few suggestion I hope you put in an update soon... Please make a map editor that you can skirmish on or play on multiplayer with... Also make an icon that shows how many player are online that would be great I also have suggestions for new units Id like a tesla tank that chains to all units next to eachother 2nd would be a battleship with super long range that is only good agains infantry 3rd would be an infantry unit with medium damage that can attack twice with a machine gun I hope you take ideas into consideration thank you

...but this game is one of the best ones Ive ever played. It is challenging enough to keep my interest, but not so challenging that I give up. I admit I looked at the strategy guide for a few missions. And its long! 50 levels! This was so worth the money.

This has been great fun. I would love to see the put another game together. Challenging, but solvable even at the highest levels. Very addicting.

I didnt think the first game could be improved upon, but GBWG delivers. Tons of fun.

I have some awesome ideas for future updates! A new naval unit! The Aircraft carrier! A 3 size Block unit that can launch and refuel airborne units. A new Barracks unit the Juggernaut a big unit able to take out buildings infantry and vehicles! Basically a Commando on steroids! Also new maps added to Skirmish and pass and play, More trenches maps. Bigger maps and Maps related to G-Day. Also a new weapons factory unit called the minesweeper a vehicle that can be used in Pass and play. Because mines really get on my nerves. A vehicle that can absorb blast and can Attack using a small Barrel to defend itself from Recon tanks. One thing is if you add them as a In app purchase its ok Ill buy it as soon as it comes out! i love the game, it’s awesome. I’m playing my brother online, both on iOS, and neither of us get push notifications, which is frustrating. I’d certainly appreciate that getting fixed, but still a five star game. Thanks!

In the next update please add a machine gunner for the barracks it would be a cool add on and make a editor mode you can play on after you make a map it would be awesome one more thing please add more naval units like submarines aircraft carriers.

This is by far my favorite game on iOS. Im not much of a hardcore gamer anymore so small challenging games involving strategy very much appeal to me. Go Rubicon!
